The Holy Order of

HOSPITALLERS

The Knights of St. John of The Lands

A National Unit of Dagorhir

WELCOME

Over one thousand years ago, the Order of
Saint John of the Hospital of Jerusalem was
founded to provide basic care and treatment
for Christian Pilgrims making their way to the
holy city.

The order, originally founded by the
Blessed Father Gerard, was originally a
service order. However, early in the 12th
century, a military wing of the order was
founded to protect the hospital and pilgrims in
the Holy Land. The Hospitaller Knights won
great renown and remained a force for
Christendom for hundreds of years. It is the
only Crusader Order still in existence today.

The Hospitallers of St. John of The Lands, seeks to recreate the original

Order of Saint John  within the

community of Dagorhir in as rich and authentic detail as is possible in our  modern age.

An Invitation to answer  Gods call…

From

Grand Master

Abbot of

The Priory of Aethenu

Hospitallers of The Lands are more than just a WAR BAND.  It is also a group of FRIENDS, and

MISSIONARIES of  Christendom.

Our stated purpose is fully

explained in the CODEX, But for now I will boil it down to this.

Hospitaller Knights of the Lands are Dagorhim who desire not to hide their Christian Faith, but to practice it fully in works of service and in humble attitude toward our

brothers and sisters.

This is a call to a relationship to all

who confess Jesus Christ as Lord

and savior according the Historic Christian (Trinitarian) faith.

Our goal is uncomplicated. We are

simply asked to maintain the

integrity of our faith in a pagan

environment. To be helpful in the greater Dagorhir community and

do works of service while

maintaining a positive Christian identity.

We are not asked to proselytize or

aggressively convert others from their beliefs. All we desire is to be

decent and moral people who by

our examples might inspire people

to explore a deeper faith.

Our central scripture for our mission is

1Peter 3:13-16

Who will harm you if you are devoted to

doing what is good?

But even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. Never be afraid of their threats, and never get upset.

Instead, exalt Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to give a

defense to everyone who asks you to

explain the hope you have.

But do this with gentleness and respect,

keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak evil of your good conduct in Christ will be ashamed of slandering you
