A favorite event for a family outing is being able to go into the farmland
or orchard and carefully pick the juciest of the crop.
Educational, entertaining, and delicious (you must taste when you pick).

FARMERS MARKETS/STORES
For those unable to participate in the fun of a U-Pick trip,
produce is available at local farmer markets, farm stands, or farm stores nearby.

GOT THE BLAHS??
Then you should hit the fields. Bring boxes, bags, baskets and buckets.
• Big red sweet strawberries. Don't forget 5# extra for the freezer.
• Sweet, or hard to find sour cherries for a REAL pie.
• The freshest Asparagus. (Cheese not included)
• Cantalopes as big as soccer-balls, juicy tender sweet orange flesh waiting for your taste buds.
• Tomatoes, warm on the vine, that taste like a TOMATO!
• Bountiful Blueberries, every other handful goes in your mouth.
• Tender Kernels of famous Indiana Sweet Corn make you wish you would have bought a truckload.
• Crispy Apples with juice dripping down your chin. More varieties than can be mentioned.
• Peaches, Pears, Plums, Nectarines, Grapes, Peppers, or the fresh made Apple Cider to tantalize the taste buds.

The seasonal varieties are usually available from late Spring thru late September,
and general predictions for ripening times and picking conditions are
dependent upon the annual climate.
